Cambridge Program for Children’s English Learning
Cambridge’s “Cambridge English: Young Learners” (YLE) program is designed for children aged 5 to 11.
The Starters, Movers, and Flyers assessments in the YLE Junior English program correspond to the Pre A1, A1, and A2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The CEFR is an internationally recognized standard established by the Council of Europe to evaluate language proficiency, ranging from basic levels A (Pre A1, A1, A2) to proficient levels C (C1 and C2).
As indicated in the CEFR reference framework, Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, and A2 Flyers represent the initial stages in a child’s journey to mastering English. It is important to note that there is no “pass” or “fail” result in these children’s English assessments. However, a score is deemed satisfactory when a child obtains a total of 10 or more shields across three sections, with a minimum of 2 shields in each section. Achieving a total of 10 shields indicates that your child possesses all the necessary skills at their current level and is prepared to progress to the next stage of Cambridge English examinations.
Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET Exam Preparation Program
Our educators follow the Starters, Movers, Flyers exam preparation curriculum to ensure that children acquire essential knowledge and develop the skills necessary for achieving high scores on their exams. The lessons are effectively designed to engage students, facilitating a richer learning experience beyond a traditional syllabus.
Convenient Learning Environment
Parents are not required to transport their children to school. Students can participate in lessons from home using a computer with internet access. This online learning format saves travel time, allowing children more opportunities for relaxation and play after their studies. Additionally, daily commutes to education centers are eliminated.
Monitoring and Engagement
Parents can monitor their child’s learning by sitting alongside them during lessons. It is encouraged to engage in discussions with the class leader to inquire about the child’s academic progress, including their dedication and participation. Requests for recorded lessons can also be arranged to allow for review and reinforcement of the material.
Flexible Scheduling
Class schedules are adaptable based on your child’s availability, with options available from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. If a child misses a class due to prior notice, arrangements can be made to make up the lesson on another day without falling behind.

This information enables educators and parents to understand the specific abilities a child can apply in various contexts. Achieving 4 or 5 shields in the Movers test corresponds to CEFR Level A1, indicating readiness to progress to A2 Flyers.
Certificates for the Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, and A2 Flyers exams are dispatched to the respective centers a few weeks following the exam period. As these exams do not carry a pass or fail designation, they create a positive and encouraging environment for young learners. The data regarding shields earned provides specific insight into proficiency levels and suggests pathways for continued learning, motivating children to pursue higher levels of English proficiency.
Benefits of One-on-One Learning
The cost of individual classes via platforms like Skype is significantly reduced—by 4 to 5 times compared to traditional face-to-face sessions—without compromising on quality. This format allows for focused, personalized attention from educators, ensuring continuous error correction and interactive engagement throughout the lesson.
In one-on-one settings, teachers closely monitor a child’s progress and adapt their teaching methods according to individual learning abilities.
All-in-English Instruction
All classes are conducted by native speakers, providing a fully immersive English environment. This approach helps children to develop standard pronunciation from an early age, making it easier for them to progress to more advanced levels in the future. Regular listening and speaking practice enhances children’s confidence in communication and effectively improves their performance in assessments.
